Our Facilities
Braemar House School is situated on a beautiful urban park space in the north-end of Brantford. We own our own building and part of the land it sits on. We have 10 well-light, spacious and welcoming classrooms.
We have a full-sized gym which we use not only for our Physical Education program, but for monthly Formal Assemblies, our school-wide Enhanced Learning Days and our art programming (Art Show, Music Recital and Musical).
We also have a theatrical stage, we build onto our stage, which we use in our annual Spring Musical.
Since 100% of tuition and fundraising dollars are re-invested in our school and our student resources, Braemar has made significant investments in classroom resources including textbooks and enhanced learning materials. We support our drama and music program with on-going funding of equipment and resources.
Information technology, like most educational resources, is one of many tools in the support of learning. Technology at Braemar is intended to serve students in the achievement of curriculum expectations in all subject areas throughout the day. Students are encouraged and guided to use technology to enrich their experience and improve their learning, and not simply as a 45 minute weekly lesson. Braemar has permanently mounted Interactive White Boards in Grades 1 to 8. We have computers in each classroom from Grades 1 and 2 for our students to use. These allow teachers to integrate information technology instruction effectively within our curriculum. Grades 3 to 6 each have a class-set of Chromebooks. The one-to-one laptop program is a mandatory component of our Grade 7 and 8 curriculum.
