Our Boundaries
Courtesy. Respect. Tolerance.
We will show others that we value them.
We will follow directions and treat other as we would want to be treated.

We will listen to each other, without interrupting, comparing, or teasing.
We will take special care of each other's belongings.
We will respect each other's feelings.

We will accept differences and be free of prejudice.
We will accept things we wish were different with patience.
Citizenship Program
Braemar House School students benefit greatly from our holistic approach to character development through our Citizenship Programs which support, protect and enrich our academic programming. Through this vibrant character development program and active involvement in the community, our students develop self-confidence and a thoughtful respect for themselves, their peers, their teachers and the community.
Grade specific programs ensure the living out of our commitment to citizenship.
The Virtues Project
The Virtues Project was honoured by the United Nations during the International Year of the Family as a model global program for all cultures. This program contains proven strategies for awakening virtues – the gifts within. It represents a holistic approach to character education that shapes and informs Braemar’s other Citizenship programs, with integration into Braemar’s existing curriculum.

The Virtues Project introduces the simple elements of character honoured by all cultures and spiritual traditions, and defines them by 52 basic virtues. We use “the language of virtues” for drawing out the best in our students, and employ strategies to inspire Excellence, Respect, Kindness, Commitment and Cooperation in them.
We strive to offer a positive approach to discipline, with restorative justice, in such a way as to turn our school into a community of caring. Our established boundaries in the classroom and on the playground remain Courtesy, Respect and Tolerance.
